Round fruit, yellow-green background speckled with tints of pinkish red on the outside, skin texture feels clean & dry with a dull sheen. The flesh is white on the inside.
No sound, except when bitten, a crisp crunch is heard
Fresh & sweet with candied honey undertones
It has a sweet aromatic flavor, moist & refreshing like a pear
Hard & smooth on the outside, inside flesh is firm & dense

Fuji Apples originated in Japan, by cross breeding 2 American apple varieties: Ralls Janet & Red Delicious. It's sugar & water content makes it wonderful for eating, cooking, baking, & a great addition to salads, sauces & stews. It has a long shelf life & can remain fresh for up to a year when refrigerated. This has helped its popularity along with it's great flavor & sweetness.
